Potentially Dangerous Teething Toys Recalled Due To Choking Hazard

A line of teething toys that pose a choking hazard to infants were recalled this week.  This squeaking toy, Coco the Monkey, is made of soft orange rubber and, as the name suggests, is shaped like a monkey. The tail of the monkey can pose a choking hazard to young children.  “Infantino” is marked on the back toward the rear and model number 206-647 is marked on the inside of the rear left leg. They were sold at Target stores nationwide and online from December 2012 through January 2014.  There have been several reports of infants choking or gagging on the monkey’s tail.  Fortunately, no permanent injuries have been reported.
